Sometimes, jacknjellify and it's team would upload non-official episodes, dubbed "shorts" in between actual episodes. Most were never confirmed or referenced in the show to be canon but the only canon shorts that have been confirmed by statement and/or continuity are: "[[BFDI is Back]]", "[[Paper Towel (BFDI short)|Paper Towel]]" and "[[Plan Dissolve Adhesive]]". Because the event promotional shorts, Thanks for 4 Years! and the subscribers specials are shorts inside of a short series, they will not be counted apart from the separate non-connected shorts.

Every four years since [[2014]] on either January 1 to 2, a short would be uploaded celebrating every four years a special would be uploaded. It began with [[Pen]] in 2014, and then [[Match]] in [[2018]] and both in 2022. The last one will probably be in [[Future|2026]] as the limit for titles on YouTube are 100.

====Subscriber specials====
Originally, the jacknjellify channel when reaching a milestone would do a YouTube Poop Music Video (YTPMV) as a parody of a popular song. Since the special for 600,000 subscribers, it has been set in the non-canonical world of [[X Finds Out His Value]], a pre-''BFDI'' video.
