Camps are often hosted at DeviantArt or Discord, as well as YouTube or even Scratch and Fandom. Arguably the first well-known camp in the object show community is Battle for Space Palace.
Regularly, the usual formula of a camp is, but is not limited to:
- Hosting a signup
- Posting a challenge for contestants to send their entries based on
- Judging the entries, and putting contestants up for elimination
- Repeating the last two multiple times until there is only one contestant left
