On September 13 or 14, 2011, Nate Groth (at the time the original voice actor of Balloon) somehow hacked the AnimationEpic channel and deleted Inanimate Insanity season one episodes and the spinoff, The Taco Show, episodes. Adam Katz fired him in aftermath.
This is the first controversy involving the Object Show Community, specifically its internal side.
Details[edit | edit source]
It's unclear how or why Nate Groth, the voice actor of Balloon at the time, hacked the channel. He was hired to be Balloon's voice during the 2011 Inanimate Insanity auditions by Adam Katz. The first five episodes, including episode 5.5 "A New Stage In The Game", of the series were already uploaded during the deletion. It is also alleged that The Taco Show spinoff was also deleted.
It is known that it is Nate Groth because Adam Katz, after uploading a video announcing that the previous episodes would come back, expressed hatred towards the character and explaining that its voice actor was fired.[1] It might have happened at somepoint between September 13 and September 14. The video apologizing for the event was supposed to be deleted but it didn't.
In aftermath, Balloon had his lines up to the incident reused up until Inanimate Insanity II, where Balloon was voiced by Nate for the first six episodes before being fully replaced by Benjamin Cross.
