Competition

From Objectshowpedia

The competition is the main chain of events as seen in competitional object shows. It is a rivalry event between two or more teams for a common prize that cannot be shared at all.

Concept history[edit | edit source]

Chronology of events[edit | edit source]

  1. Beginning: The host pops up out of nowhere or saves the contestants from disaster. They propose the prize and the teams are formed and named.
  2. Contests and eliminations: Often, eliminations begin before the contest, or even double elimination between the contest.[1] One team loses and put up for elimination, deciding for the one eliminated by either its own members or by the viewers.
  3. New team formation: Rarely, a new team gets formed, having the same team creation process as before.
  4. Merge: All teams, when the number of contestants hits a certain number like low numbers of teams than what they had initially, are merged and only one in each contest can win.
  5. Victory: The viewers or contestants vote for the winner. The winner receives the ultimate prize, but at the same time, the host and contestants have to deal with something going horribly wrong.
