"FIREY to keep our customers happy" is a school project comic created by Cary Huang on May 2, 2008. It is the first pre-BFDI comic, a series of paper drawings that eventually led to the creation of the object show Battle for Dream Island, but Water-Sponge-Fire precedes them all.[1]

Creation[edit | edit source]

The first pre-BFDI comic served as a 5th grade school project made by Cary Huang to make a fake catalog. Although Match and Woody were created here, Teardrop, Spongy and Firey were conceived through a variation of Rock-Paper-Scissors.
