• 2 – "FIREY to keep our customers happy" is made as a 5th grade project by Cary Huang. It gave birth to the origins of Battle for Dream Island.

• 9 – BlueFlower, the creator of Beyond Bounds, is born.

September

• 1 – HyperCrystal is born.

December

• 31 – X Finds Out His Value is uploaded to YouTube. This is the most viewed pre-BFDI video on the jacknjellify channel.

2009

January

• Unknown – Firey's Candy Bar Adventure is developed around this time. This is the earliest piece of BFDI animated history.

February

• 17 – Animator Chris is born.
• 20 – firey.fla is produced.
• 27 – Firey Music Video.fla is produced.

August

• 18 – Battle for Dream Island is concieved. The Huang family trip in Hawaii ends with their return to California. Michael and Cary had the idea to make a Flash animated web series.

September

• Unknown – BFDI goes into production on voicelines being made and the animation made on Macromedia Flash 8.

  • The Yoyle French Bakery ends operations. This is the earliest known record of Yoyleland and Yoyle City.

  • Bubble orders a Bubble Transformer, gaining her recovery center to avoid her eternal death from popping.
  • Loser and Winner forms a duo of themselves, performing the Loser Cake.
  • Firey and Coiny both attempts to find out when the Goikian slug arrives by acquiring the Creatures of Goiky book.
